Greetings From Seoul!

Our first glimpse of Korea.



We made it! ...and we both agree that our 14 hour flight went well. We happened to sit in the last row of the plane, where there were only two seats on each side...and it was perfect. Matt felt comfortable getting up and out of his seat to stretch as much as he needed to and it's always nice to have a "row" to yourself. Since I hadn't been sleeping well, I slept for almost half of the flight. Each time I would start a movie, it was like a sleeping pill for me, I would be sleeping and would find that I had missed the whole movie. Matt on the other hand only slept for maybe an hour, which explains why he is sleeping right now.

The driver from our agency was waiting for us when we exited the terminal and he drove us to our hotel. We were surprised to find that we are actually in a 2 room suite. We have plenty of room. There is plenty of space for someone to run around.

Even though we had 2 meals served to us on Korean Air, we still felt the need to eat, LOL. Tonight, we just walked around the block and headed for the restaurant that smelled delicious! I didn't have my camera with me, but the meal was amazing and my mouth is on fire from the kimchi!!!

So...tomorrow I hope we get to do some sight seeing in the morning and in the afternoon, we are going to stop by Eastern Social Welfare Society which is the Korean agency that my nephew and I were adopted through. We have the honor to meet my nephew's foster family!!! So exciting!!!

I'm starting to droop, so see you tomorrow! :)

Travel Call!!!!!!!

What.A.Day!

This is the day that we have longed for since we received our referral...and guess what...

I.Missed.The.Call.

Yep, that's right folks. I missed the call, LOL. We were hopeful that we would get Travel Call any day, in particular this one since it coincided with his Visa Interview, and when it passed a certain time I told myself, "well hopefully tomorrow."
I happened to pull out my phone 30 minutes after, THE.CALL and there it was
MISSED CALL!!!

This is one of the times that I am thankful that our agency is on the west coast...we had plenty of time to call and make arrangements before they closed.

So...tonight we go to sleep with sweet dreams of our sweet boy and Korea dancing in our heads...and we continue to send wishes and hopes to the families who are waiting for their turn to travel on this crazy roller coaster ride.

One Last Pic!

As you know, we love pics...so this was a nice surprise!

This should be the last picture we receive from Korea, since Travel Calls have officially begun for our agency.

We are thrilled that one of our friends received a travel call today!!!

Hopefully, we will be posting about two magical letters "TC" very soon!

And the other day when we got a Well Baby Check, which is always exciting...we were sad that there weren't any new pictures. However, when we reread the email from our agency...I can't believe that we had missed the line that said we are sending you a CD full of photos from the foster family!

All of the photos are special, and we feel very lucky to have received such a special gift. A photo that I love in particular is one of him with a dog. It looks like his foster family has a dog, which in our case is a mega yay since he has 3 furry siblings that are waiting for him. ;-)

We also appear to have the same stroller as his foster family!

The other day we did receive a Well Baby Check and our sweet boy is 34 inches and 28 pounds.

And in the World of Adoption from Korea...it is exciting to hear that families from other agencies have begun to get Travel Calls! Woohoo!!! So...we are hopeful that it will be our agency's turn fairly soon!!!
